Inflow and Outflow Slow Down, Social Inventory of Silicon Metal Slightly Increases [SMM Silicon Inventory]

[SMM: Outflows and Inflows Slow Down, Social Inventory of Silicon Metal Slightly Increases] According to SMM statistics, as of January 17, the nationwide social inventory of silicon metal totaled 539,000 mt, up 3,000 mt WoW.

SMM, January 17: According to SMM statistics, as of January 17, the nationwide social inventory of silicon metal totaled 539,000 mt, up 3,000 mt WoW. Among them, social general warehouses held 151,000 mt, down 1,000 mt WoW, while social delivery warehouses held 388,000 mt (including unregistered warehouse warrants and spot cargo), up 4,000 mt WoW. This week, social warehouses for silicon metal showed a slight inventory buildup, mainly driven by an increase in delivery warehouse inventory in Tianjin and an increase in delivery spot warehouse inventory in Xinjiang. As the Chinese New Year approaches, market trading is expected to slow down next week, with warehouse inflows and outflows gradually decreasing across regions.
